SOMETHING ABOUT STREET PHOTOGRAPHY

reality as an item for exhibition

To begin with, I don't consider myself to be a professional photographer and I certainly am still working on my skills and constatnly developing the subject matter of my photographs. However, I don't see this as a drawback in the 'world of photography' in these days. Actually, many photographers rather consider themselves as 'amateurs' in order to maintain their freedom when it comes to classifying their work. 'Amateur' doesn't necessarily mean that a person is not good at the thing they are doing. It can be explained like that a photographer is not put in chains by the usual style, mode and form of capturing one's surroundings. Photographers, such as Andre Kertesz, liked this idea of approaching photography with an eye of a child. Therefore, they captured images out of a straight curiosity towards the world around them in a subjective way. This is one of the main reasons why it is so important to keep the eyes opened and clear when taking pictures.
